Srinivas Hospital Observes World Hand Hygiene Day
Mangaluru, May 06, 2023: The Hospital Infection Control (HIC) department, along with the Quality department of Srinivas Hospital in Mukka, observed World Hand Hygiene Day on May 05. The event aimed to promote the importance of hand hygiene in the healthcare sector, reduce cross-infections and the risk of antimicrobial resistance.
The program was inaugurated by Dr. David Rosario, medical superintendent, with the lighting of the lamp. In his speech, Dr. Rosario emphasized the significance of spreading awareness on hand hygiene, especially during a global health crisis, as it can save many lives.
The event included various performances by hospital staff that reiterate the importance of hand hygiene in the healthcare domain. The results of individual and group events organized on account of World Hand Hygiene Day were also announced during the program.
With this celebration, SRINIVAS Hospital seeks to build a culture of safety and quality in healthcare, where hand hygiene improvement is given high priority.
