Mangaluru, Feb 22, 2023: World Sanskrit Conference- 2023 to be held in Srinivas University, Mangalore, from February 24 to 26, 2023, is all set to bring together scholars and practitioners of Sanskrit, Indian philosophy and culture from all over the world under one umbrella.

The event is being organized in association with Central Sanskrit University New Delhi, National mission for the manuscript of the government of India, Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts New Delhi, Morarji Desai National Institute of YOGA, and Ministry of Ayush, Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Pro-Chancellor of Srinivas University said.

Srinivas University, Mangalore, is a skill-focused university established in 2013 by Karnataka State Act. It is the flagship of 18 Srinivas Group of Institutions started by the A. Shama Rao Foundation, Mangalore. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research courses under 10 faculties/colleges with about 69 programmes. The university is making innovations in designing and starting new super-speciality programmes both in UG and PG level as per present and future industry relevance, and in the examination system through a focus on continuous evaluation.

The University chancellor Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, aims to promote Indic culture and spread the knowledge of Sanskrit through this conference globally.

The Conference is expected to be graced by leaders of the Indian cultural movement along with ministers from the central government and state governments. The organizing committee plans to commemorate this significant event in Karnataka by bringing out an attractive souvenir. Furthermore, to provide a foundation for the growth of Sanskrit and Indian culture, the committee plans to construct a “Sanskrit Research centre,” a multi-storied building dedicated to the study of Vedas, general philosophical approaches to the status of Vedic scripture, a museum of Indian classical Vedic literature, among others.

The world conference aims to explore the contribution of Indian knowledge and Sanskrit to humanity, focusing on in-depth discussions on various topics such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Science in Sanskrit, Astrology, and Indian Philosophy. The participants can benefit immensely from the discussions and get a peek into India’s profound and incredible knowledge.

The conference will be inaugurated by A.S. Rajeev, MD & CEO Bank of Maharashtra, Pune, on February 24, 2023. The event will be presided over by Dr CA. A. Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor of Srinivas University, and Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Pro-Chancellor of Srinivas University, will be the Guest of Honour.

Summary & Plenary Session of World Sanskrit Conference 2023 will be presided by Chancellor of Srinivas University Dr. CA. A. Raghavendra Rao, Pro-Chancellor of Srinivas University Dr. A. Srinivas Rao will be Guest of Honour. Director, National Mission for Manuscripts, IGNC, New Delhi Dr. Anirban Dash, Swami Maharaja, His Holiness Bhakti Raghava, MLA, Mangalore City South Constituency Shri. D. Vedavyasa Kamath, MLA, Mangaluru Constituency U. T Khader will be present on this day.

26TH February 2023:

The Valedictory Ceremony of World Sanskrit Conference 2023 will be presided by the Chancellor of Srinivas University Dr. CA. A. Raghavendra Rao, Pro-Chancellor of Srinivas University Dr. A. Srinivas Rao will be the Guest of Honour. The chief guest will be the Vice Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi Prof. Dr. Shrinivasa Varakhedi, Senior Advocate, Telangana Highcourt, Hyderabad Dr. Vitthal Joshi will be present on this day.

Srinivasa Kalyanotsava:

Srinivasa Kalyanotsava is held on 26th February 2023 at Srinivas University Mukka Campus at evening 5.30 P.M. Swamji from Sri Chitrapura Matha – Shri Vidyendra Thirtha Swamiji will be present on this day.

Speciality:

The stall is set up at the Srinivas University Mukka campus for all three days to provide a representation of our Indian culture through food, antiques, clothing, farmer’s products, homegrown small businesses, and regionally accessible goods. To support our culture, folk games will be organised.
