Devotees throng Kodial Theru

Udupi, Jan 28, 2023: Maha Rathotsava of Sri Venkataramana Temple, commonly known as Kodial Theru was held today in the presence of Sri Samyamindra Tirtha Swamiji of Kashi Matha.
The annual celebration takes place from Magha Shudha Tritiya to Ashtami, with the Brahma Rathotsava on Saptami.
After the Pooja and rituals, the deities were taken in a Golden Palanquin to the Brahma Ratha, where hundreds of devotees offered prayers.
The Kodial Theru is a celebration of the religious and cultural significance of Sri Venkataramana Temple and has been held for over 2 centuries. The festival brings together people from all walks of life and serves as a symbol of unity and devotion.
