Student Union of University Evening College inaugurated
Mangaluru: Student Union 2022-23 of University Evening College, Mangaluru was inaugurated on December 19.
Prof. P.S. Yadapadithaya, Vice Chancellor, Mangalore University inaugurated the event.
In his address he defined the student Union as a stage to bring out the talents.
“They need to acknowledge their strength to become a resource to the society. Teachers must love their students more than their own children to win the hearts and minds,” he said.
Chief Guest Ravichandra PM, Syndicate Member of Mangalore University advised newly elected representatives to follow democratic ethics to preserve values and lead the society.
R J Nayana Shetty, Ex Radio Jackey and Free Lancer was the chief guest.
In her presidential address Dr. Subhashini Srivatsa, Principal, said that the support from administration and teachers has made the college as topmost among all other evening colleges of the city.
Dr. Jagadish B, Asst Director of Student Union administered the oath. Dr. Madhav MK, Student Welfare Officer welcomed the gathering. Dr. Devadas Pai, Co-ordinator M A Konkani, Dr. Yathish Kumar, Co-ordinator of Diploma in GST, Dr. Anasuya Rai, Principal University College, Mangaluru were present.
Student Union President Prathibha J- III BCom proposed the Vote of Thanks. Secretary Mrs. Swathi-III BA, Joint Secretary Shashank-III BCom, Secretary of Fine Arts Ganesh Acharya-III BA and Joint Secretary of Fine Arts Nimitha-III BCom were present. The Teaching and Non-Teaching Faculty members, Students and parents witnessed the program.
