Modi’s Mangaluru visit: Sunil Kumar holds preparatory meeting
Mangaluru, Aug 25, 2022: Dakshina Kannada District in-charge minister V Sunil Kumar held a preparatory meeting in the backdrop of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city on September 2.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Mangaluru on Sept 2. At the program in the New Mangalore Port Authority (NMPA) he will lay the foundation stone for various projects worth Rs 3,600 to 4,500 crore. He will also participate in the public function at Goldfinch City. A list of beneficiaries who have benefited from central and state government schemes should be prepared and invited to the program,” Sunil Kumar said.
“The event at the Goldfinch City ground should be held in a meaningful way and should be an unprecedented success. The public, including the beneficiaries of various schemes, should participate in large numbers. Proper transport arrangements should be made for the beneficiaries. As the Prime Minister will arrive at the venue at 4 pm, all public, and beneficiaries should be seated much earlier. Arrangements will be made for the lunch at the venue,” he said.
“The officials who have been given responsibility should discharge them without handing it over to others,” he said.
MP Nalin Kumar Kateel that centrally sponsored schemes have been successful in the district and lakhs of beneficiaries are getting the benefit of the schemes. Prime Minister has a keen interest in the Matsya Sampada Scheme. Fisheries department officials should invite the beneficiaries of this scheme and all the other schemes.
