St Mary’s College celebrates Independence Day
Shirva, Aug 15, 2022: The 76th Independence day was celebrated at St Mary’s College, Shirva on Monday.
The Principal of the college, Dr Herald Ivan Monis hoisted the flag and recollected the struggle and sacrifice of the freedom fighters.

“The freedom we are enjoying today is because of the sacrifices and struggles of crores of Indians. Let us recall the sacrifices of our soldiers and always remember the great men who fought for freedom,” he said.
He called upon the youth to take proper guidance and work hard in and join hands for the progress of the country and building a new society. On the occasion, he administered the pledge of Independence Day.

Cadet Senior Under Officer Vishal S Moolya, Junior Under Officer Suraksha, Quartermaster Mohit N Salian, Lance Corporal Lobo Ann Ria Nevil conducted the Parade.

College Superintendent Dorin D’Silva, NSS program officer Sriraksha, Rovers and Rangers Scout leaders Prakash, Sangeetha Poojary, NSS Rovers and Rangers unit students, faculty and faculty members were present on the occasion.
NSS Project Officer Premnath welcomed the gathering. Director of student welfare of the college Yashoda delivered the vote of thanks. NCC Officer Lt K Praveen Kumar guided and coordinated the program.
