Very heavy rain likely in Coastal districts
Udupi, Aug 05, 2022: High waves in the range of 3-3.8 meters are predicted till 11.30 pm on August 5 along the coast from Mangaluru to Karwar of Karnataka coast.
The warning was issued by Incois Karnataka.
In its bulletin, India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an alert of heavy to very heavy rain with extremely heavy rain at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka till 8.3 am on August 6.
Heavy to very heavy rain (ranging from 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm) is likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of coastal Karnataka from August 6 morning to August 7 morning.
Thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at isolated places over all the Coastal Karnataka districts on these two days.
