Mangaluru, July 31, 2022: Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Dr. Rajendra KV has extended the order on early closure of shops in the district.

“Section 144 is already extended till August 6 in DK police jurisdiction. Additional restrictions i.e. early closure of shops at 6 pm is for next two days in the entire district,” the DC said.

In a move to prevent any untoward incidents in the late evening and night, Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada Dr. Rajendra KV on July 29 had ordered the early closure of shops in the district.

All the urban local bodies and gram panchayats were asked to ensure that the shops in their jurisdiction are closed down by 6. Pm till August 1 morning. 

Now the order has been extended.
