Heavy rain likely in Coastal Karnataka
Udupi, June 09, 2022: Isolated places in Coastal Karnataka districts are likely to experience heavy rain for the next few days.
According to IMD, Heavy rain (64.5mm to 115.5 mm) is likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka. Thunderstorm with lightning is also likely to occur at isolated places in the three districts till June 14 morning.
The northern limit of the Monsoon continues to pass through Karwar, Chikmagalur, Bengaluru, Puducherry.
According to IMD conditions are favorable for further advance of the Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Central Arabian Sea, Goa, some parts of South Maharashtra, some parts of Karnataka, remaining parts of Tamil Nadu, some parts of South Andhra Pradesh, some more parts of Westcentral and Northwest Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours.
Conditions are likely to become favorable for the further advance of the monsoon into more parts of Maharashtra, entire Karnataka, more parts of Andhra Pradesh, and more parts of Westcentral and Northwest Bay of Bengal during the subsequent 2 days.
