PM-Kisan Yojana: CM Bommai releases State’s instalment of Rs 956 cr
47.86 lakh farmers benefitted
Bengaluru. June 2, 2022: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Thursday released State’s instalment of Rs 956.71 crore to the account of 47.86 lakh beneficiaries of PM Kisan Yojana.
The state government provides Rs 2,000 each for the beneficiary farmers of the State under the PM-Kisan-Karnataka scheme. So far the State government has paid Rs 3861.66 cr for the farmers under the scheme as its contribution.
Bommai released a total amount through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system in the presence of Agriculture minister BC Patil, Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma and other officials.
The union government has released Rs 8702.29 cr since 2019 upto March this year benefiting 53.83 lakh farmers under the scheme. On May 31 the Prime Minister released Rs1279.86 cr to the accounts of 49.30 lakh farmers of Karnataka.
