Bantwal: Gold, cash worth Rs 1.40 lakh stolen
Mangaluru, May 21, 2022: Thieves have stolen gold and cash worth Rs 1.40 lakh from a house in Kolnadu village in Bantwal Taluk.
The incident took place between May 19 night and May 20.
In the FIR, KM Mohammed has stated that he with his family members had been to his sister’s house at Golipadpu on May 19 at around 7 pm. On May 20 evening around 4 pm when Mohammed returned and entered the house found the clothes scattered.
The door of the Cupboard was opened forcefully and the necklace weighing about 5 sovereigns, a golden chain of 1 sovereign, a finger ring weighing about half-sovereign, and Rs 5000 cash in the table drawer next to Godrej were stolen.
The thieves had opened the roof tiles to enter the house. The cupboard was forced open. The value of the stolen gold jewelry is estimated to be Rs 1,40,000.
A case is registered at Vittal Police Station.
