Free health check-up camp held at Kokkada
Kokkada, May 15, 2022: As part of the Annual NSS Camp of Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College, Ujire, a free health check-up camp was held at Kokkada School on May 14.
The Annual seven-day NSS Camp is being held at Government Higher Primary School, Kokkada.
The health check-up camp was organized by Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Hospital Ujire, KVG Dental College Sullia and SDM Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences College and received appreciation from the villagers.
Panchami Hitayurdhama director Dr. B Mohandas Gowda inaugurated the health camp. SDM Hospital director Janardhan M, KVG Medical College Periodontics division head Dr. Dayakar M M were the chief guests.
Blood pressure checkups, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, eye, ear, and nose tests, and dental-related tests were available at the camp. Health care counseling and yoga and naturopathy information were provided. Essential medicines and spectacles were given free of cost.
A total of 343 people benefited from the camp.
As many as 62 people underwent eye examination- 7 for ENT examination, 85 for dental treatment, 34 for naturopathy and yoga therapy information, 64 for the blood test, 55 for general health check-ups, and 36 for bone tests and treatment.
The program was led by NSS Project Officer Dr. Lakshminarayan and Deepa R P. Volunteers actively participated and made the event a success.
