St. Mary’s College signs MoU with Unnathi Career Academy
Shirva, May 13, 2022: St. Mary’s College, Shirva, and Unnathi Career Academy, Bengaluru signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for job training programs.
The MoU was signed in the presence of the heads of the two institutions.
“Fifty percent of the people in our country are below 35 years of age. In today’s competitive world, it is difficult to find a job. Appropriate training in the context of respective jobs is essential if the employability of the youth is to be utilized efficiently. Since technology is widespread in all spheres today, there is a need for it. The Unnathi Career Academy is making a good effort in providing all these to the candidates. Students should make the best use of it,” said Prem Prasad Shetty, Founder of the Academy said while signing the MoU.
The principal of the College Dr. Herald Ivan Monis defined this as a historic event.
“Shortly, along with a degree, vocational training will also be required in the country and abroad. At present job is a primary requirement. When asked why the students of St. Mary’s College are excellent in society, it is not an exaggeration when we say that the training programs organized in our college as the reason,” he said.
Naveen Nayak explained the highlights of the MoU to the students. Tanuja Suvarna, Coordinator, Employment Information Unit of the College welcomed the gathering. Computer Science Department head K Praveen Kumar gave an introductory note about the program. K. Akanksha compered the event. Priyanka offered prayers and Royston delivered the vote of thanks.
