Uttara Kannada gears up for 2nd PU exams
Karwar April 19, 2022: The Uttara Kannada district administration is making preparations for the II PU examination scheduled from April 22 to May 18.
A meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner. The ADC said that the following guidelines should be followed.
As many as 15327 students will be appearing for the examination including 4788 (Arts), 6502 (Commerce), and 4037 (Science). A three-member committee has been constituted to ensure mandatory 24×7 police bandobast to Karwar and Sirsi treasuries, depositing confidential items in the treasuries and distributing them to the centers.
A total of 14 guidance officers have been formed in the district and the team consists of 1 Tahsildar, 2 Block Education Officers, and 3 Senior Principals of PUCs. The question paper bundle will be opened under CCTV surveillance.
On the day of the examination, media persons will be allowed to shoot only at the time of arrival and departure of students at the centers.
Steps will be taken to make it mandatory for the students to wear the uniform of the respective colleges.
He asked the District Police Officers to deploy policemen at all the examination centers to maintain law and order during the examinations. Prohibitory orders will be imposed within the 200 meters radius around the examination center.
“Photocopy (Xerox) shops located near the examination centers should be closed during the examination time, district health officers should be asked to depute a nurse at all the examination centers and take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 pandemic,” as per the guidelines.
