Belthangady, March 26, 2022: Banana plantation is something that attracts agriculturists. While many are involved in the traditional verities, some people take keen interesting in trying out something new.

Advocate Sudarshan Rao Gajanthodi, a resident of Kadirudyavara village has tried a new variety of Nendra Banana. Guys on Wheels have interviewed him in detail about his venture.

“Nedu Nendra is a variety developed by Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur. We got 3,500 saplings from there and planted in our 12-acre land,” Sudarshan Rao narrates.

He has explained about the initial hiccups and the guidance extended by the University authorities, the steps taken by him in plantation.

The plans have now grown and brimming with banana. They will be ready in few days.
