Gadkari keen on Mangaluru Ring Road
Mangaluru, Feb 28, 2022: Ring Road in Mangaluru is likely to be a reality soon with Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari expressing his interest in the project.
“Member of Parliament Nalin Kumar Kateel has sought Ring road for Mangaluru. I have asked to prepare DPR. Shortly you will get ring road in Mangaluru,” Gadkari said after inaugurating various projects at Mangaluru.
He said that the proposed Expressway between Mumbai and Kanyakumari would help the people, trade, and commerce of the Coastal Karnataka region.
A good portion of the road will go from here. It will definitely help the people and also trade here,” he added.
Speaking about Shiradi Ghat, Gadkari not only assured to undertake the four-laning of the National Highway on Shiradi Ghat but also prepare a DPR on six-laning.
“The proposed six-lane will include 7 bridges and 7 tunnels. Once the state government provides necessary forest clearance we will undertake the work,” he said.
Gadkari also assured to undertake the construction of flyover at Nanthoor junction.
