Section 144 imposed in DK and Udupi
Udupi, Feb 13, 2022: Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao has M has imposed Section 144 in the 200-meter radius around High Schools in Udupi district.
In the order dated Feb 12, the Deputy Commissioner has stated that the Section will be imposed between 6 am of February 14 and 6 pm of Feb 19.
The DC has taken the decision based on the suggestions by the Superintendent of Police as a precautionary step in the backdrop of the High Schools reopening from Monday.
The district administration is taking all measures to ensure law and order is not affected in the region.
In Dakshina Kannada and Mangaluru City:
Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada has imposed Sec 144 in 200 meters radius of schools and colleges from 6 am of Feb 14 and 6 pm of Feb 19 in the district (excluding Mangaluru City Police limits). Similarly Mangaluru Police Commissioner Shashi Kumar has issued similar orders in his jurisdiction.
