Angara directs officials to complete works within a stipulated time frame
Udupi, Feb 08, 2022: Udupi district in-charge minister S Angara directed the officials to appropriately use the funds and complete the development works and projects by March-end.
He was chairing the trimonthly KDP meeting at Rajatadri today.
“The government has chalked out various projects for people. Money has been released for these projects. All the projects should be completed within the time frame. If there is any problem in implementation, they should be brought to our notice,” he said.
He asked the officials to provide factual information at the review meeting.
Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon stressed the need to hike the fund allocation under the Matsyashraya scheme.
“Government provides Rs 1.20 for each house constructed under the project. It should be increased to Rs 5 lakh. This should be brought to the notice of the government,” the MLA said.
Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat said that as dialysis is not being managed properly in the district hospital, the patients of Udupi are forced to depend on the neighboring districts. He also added that the salary of medical personnel is pending.
CDA chairman Mattar Ratnakar Hegde, MLC Manjunath Bhandary, Ayanuru Manjunath, Deputy Commissioner Kurma Rao, CEO Dr. Naveen Bhat, and others were present.
