 St Mary’s College celebrates 73rd Republic Day

Shirva, Jan 27, 2022: The 73rd Republic Day was celebrated at St Mary’s College, Shirva on Wednesday.

High School headmaster Gilbert Pinto who was the chief guest hoisted the tricolor and spoke about the importance of the day.

“The country is facing various challenges. Every Indian should be a patriot and love the country. The future generation should be told about the sacrifice of our forefathers. We should join hands with the government in every field,” he said.

He asked the students to respect farmers and soldiers.

College principal Dr. Herald Ivan Monis, Don Bosco Higher Primary School headteacher Paulin Lobo, Second Officer John William, heads of NCC, NCC, Rovers-Rangers, PU College, Degree College, and students were present.
Senior Under Officer Vishal S Moolya gave parade commanding.

Jr Under Officer Harishitha, Suraksha, Company Serjeant Quarter Master Mohith N Salian, Corporal Dheeraj, Lance Corporal Lobo Ann Ria Nevil, students Akshay, Anup Nayak, Jhansi, and others cooperated.

NCC Officer Lt K Praveen Kumar welcomed the gathering. St Mary PU College in-charge principal Amanda Murel Sequera delivered the vote of thanks.
The program was organized by NCC Army Wing.
