Golden jubilee year of Mass Marriage at Dharmasthala on April 27
Dharmasthala, Jan 24, 2022: The 50th free Mass Marriage will be held at Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala on April 27, at 6.50 pm.
The bridegroom will be provided by Dhoti, Shawl and the bride will be given Saree, blouse piece, and Mangalsutra. Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Dharmothana (SDMD) Trust will bear all the expenses.
Dharmadhikari Dr. D Veerendra Heggade had come out with the concept of Mass Marriage in 1972 to curb the dowry system and to control expensive weddings. To date, as many as 12,393 pairs have entered wedlock in this annual event at Sri Kshetra.
