 University Evening College organizes National Youth Day

Mangaluru, Jan 13, 2022: National Youth Day was celebrated at University Evening College on January 12.

Sri Swamy Viveka Chaithyananda of Ramakrishna Thapovana, Polali lit the lamp and offered floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda. He spoke on the importance of goals in life. 

He explained the importance of building good character which helps students to gain concentration. 

Sri Krishna Upadadhyaya – Resource Faculty of Ambika Educational Group of Institutions, Puttur gave a resourceful lecture on the topic “Vishwa Digvijaya”. 

Dr. Subhashini Srivathsa, Principal of the College addressed the gathering. 

Competitions were conducted for the students.

Results: 

Pencil sketch competition: first prize was bagged by Jithesh of I BA, IInd prize by Sanketh of III Bcom and Charan Kumar of II BA, IIIrd prize by Vamshi of II Bcom and Ganesh of I BA. 

Speech competition Ist prize was bagged by Shwetha of II MBA, IInd prize by Ullas of II MBA, and IIIrd prize by Kabeer. 

Deputy Director of Students Union Dr. Madhava M.K, Student Welfare officer Dr. Jagadeesh B, and Dr. Devadas Pai – Co-ordinator in Konkani Program were present on the dais.

N. Ganesh Acharya compered the program. Rishika Rai introduced the guest, Lavanya and the team rendered the prayers. Sushmitha offered vote of thanks.
