Udupi: Pura Pravesha of Krishnapura Swamiji held
Udupi, Jan 10, 2022: As part of the Paryaya Celebration, the ‘Purapravesha,’ of Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Sripadaru of Krishnapura Matha was held today.
Sir Vidyasagara Tirtha Sripadaru will ascend the Paryaya Peetha for the fourth time on January 18.
The ‘Pura Pravesha,’ held about a week before the Paryaya celebration marks the entry of the Paryaya designated seer to Udupi after his ‘Paryaya Poorva Sanchara.’
The ‘Pura Pravesha,’ procession began at Jodu Katte (near Taluk Office) on Monday evening. It comprised of various teams of Bhajan, Chande, musical instruments, scholars, dignitaries, and leaders headed by Udupi MLA Raghupathi Bhat.
Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Sripadaru who arrived at the Ratha Beedhi had the Darshan of Udupi Sri Krishna from Kanakana Kindi. He then offered prayers to Sri Chandramauleeshwara and Sri Anantheshwara. As per the tradition he prayed at Sri Madhwacharya’s Peetha at Sri Anantheshwara Temple.
On his arrival at Udupi Sri Krishna Matha, he was given a traditional welcome by Paryaya Peetadhipathi Sri Eeshapriya Tirtha Sripadaru.
Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Sripadaru had the darshan of Sri Krishna, Mukhyaprana, Madhwacharya, and other deities.
Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Sripadaru then went to Sri Krishnapura Matha and offered Mangalarathi to his Pattada Devaru (presiding deity of the Matha).
