Covid vaccination camp for 15-18 age group held at St Mary’s College
60 students were given the first dose Covaxin
Shirva, Jan 03, 2022: St Mary’s College, Shirva organized a vaccination camp for the 15-18 age group students at the campus today.
As many as 60 students were given the first dose Covaxin.
The program was organized by NCC, NSS, Youth Red Cross, Rovers-Rangers, Udupi District Administration, Health Department, District Government Hospital, Udupi, and Community Health Center Shiva.
“In the wake of the decision to vaccinate the children of 15-18 age group, vaccination camp was organized on the college campus based on the availability of vaccines,” Nodal Officer for vaccination and NCC Officer Lieutenant K Praveen Kumar said.
College Principal Dr. Herald Ivan Monis presided over the program. He asked all the eligible students to get vaccinated.
Resource persons of the program, Shirva Community Health Center Officer Dr. Vaishnavi was present.
Student Anup Nayak, Shirva Community Health Center junior health assistant Shashi, Asha workers Sangeetha, Vijaya, Nirmala cooperated in organizing the camp.
