Mangaluru, Nov 25, 2021: College of Management and Commerce, Srinivas University in collaboration with European International University, Paris organized a two-day virtual International Conference on “Academic Research and Innovation in Management, Information Technology, Social Science & Education (ICARI-2021)” on Nov 24 and 25.

This International Conference (ICARI-2021) was Technically Sponsored by IST Foundation, India and New Delhi Publishers, New Delhi, India as a Knowledge Partner.

The formal virtual inauguration of the conference was held at the College of Management and Commerce, Pandeshwar campus.

The ceremony was presided over by CA A. Raghavendra Rao, Chancellor, Srinivas University. Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Pro-Chancellor, Srinivas University, Vijayalaxmi R. Rao, Director, Srinivas Group of Colleges, Mitra S Rao, Secretary, Srinivas Group of Colleges were present.

Sonia Noronha, Convener, ICARI welcomed the gathering. Dr. P. S. Aithal, Vice-Chancellor, Srinivas University introduced international conference. Dr. P.K. Paul, Program Chair and Director addressed the gathering. 

Keerthan Raj, Dean CMC, Prof. Amith Menezes, Organizing secretary, and Dr. Niyaz Panakaje co-convenor ICARI 2021 spoke on the occasion.

On the inaugural day Dr. Edward Roy Krishnan, Director General, EIU, Paris, spoke on ‘Digitizing Education: Does the Bad outweigh the good? Dr. Durlav Sarkar, Registrar, Raiganj University spoke on ‘Impact of offline shopping on small business in the age of COVID-19 in India- An Exploratory study.

Hamid Saremi, President (Chancellor), Asrar Higher Education Institute, Marshad- IRAN spoke on ‘Innovation in Management- Challenges and Opportunities’.

On the second day Dr. Nilanjan Dey, Associate Professor, JIS University, Kolkata, spoke on ‘AI in Risk Management,’ Dr. Randa Hariri, Associate Professor, Dar Al Hekema University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia spoke on ‘Teaching and learning Post COVID 19: Towards blended learning.

This was followed by Paper presentations in three parallel sessions.

Session 1 was chaired by Dr. N Biswas Director-in-charge, Aligarh Muslim University, West Bengal, India and moderated by Prof. Sagar Srinivas, Assistant Professor, CMC, Srinivas University. Fifteen Research papers were presented in this session. 

Session 2 was chaired by Dr. Shailashree V.T, Professor, CMC, Srinivas University, and moderated by Prof. Sharmila Shetty, Srinivas University. Eighteen Research papers were presented in this session.

Session 3 was chaired by Dr. Niyaz Panakaje, Assistant Professor, CMC, Srinivas University and moderated by Prof. Yashaswi A. Ail, Srinivas University. Twenty-one research papers were presented in this session. 

Peer-reviewed book entitled “Emergence of Information and Communication Technology in Business, Society and Management (under Interdisciplinary Knowledge Series, New Delhi Publishers, New Delhi, India), Edited by. P.K. Paul, P.S. Aithal, Krishna Prasad K., P.S. Nethravathi, New Delhi Publishers, New Delhi, India was released during the grand occasion.

ICARI-21 Two days international conference has received an overwhelming response from academicians’ industrialists, research scholars, teaching fraternity. Presented papers will be published in conference proceedings as well as in international journals after the review.
