Cash, gold worth Rs 18 lakh stolen from a house in Udupi
Udupi, Nov 08, 2021: Thieves who entered a house at Ambalpady in Udupi have stolen gold and cash worth Rs 18.35 lakh.
The incident took place on the intervening night of Nov 6 and Nov 7.
The thieves who entered the house of Jayaganesh Beedu at Ambalpady forced open the cupboard and lockers in the master bedroom. They stole golden jewelry worth Rs 14 lakh, old silver coins worth 1.35 lakh, and Rs 3 lakh were stolen from the cupboard in the guest room. The total value of the stolen materials is estimated to be Rs 18.35 lakh.
A case is registered at Udupi Town Police Station under IPC sections 454, 457, and 380.
