Workshop on Research Methodology held at Srinivas University
Mangaluru, Nov 03, 2021: A workshop on Research Methodology was conducted held at Srinivas University.
The event was sponsored by Karnataka Science and Technology Academy.
The Programme was inaugurated by Prof. S Ayyappan, Chairman, KSTA and Chancellor of Central Agriculture University, Imphal.
In his speech, he stressed the importance of Research Methodology for the young researchers and appreciated the efforts of Srinivas University in conducting the workshop.
Dr. P S Aithal, Vice-Chancellor, Srinivas University presided over the program. Dr. Thomas Pinto, Dean, Engineering college welcomed the gathering, and Dr. Praveen B M, Director, Research and Convener of the workshop delivered the vote of thanks. Prof. Rohan David Fernandez compered the program.
In the first session Prof. M S Kotian, Research Professor, Srinivas University spoke on the selection of research topic. The second session was by Dr. P S Aithal who spoke on finding a research gap and research agenda in the proposed research topic.
In the third session Dr. D C Nanjunda of the Center for Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, University of Mysore, spoke about Plagiarism and Publication ethics. The fourth session was by Dr. Arun M Isloor, Professor, NITK. He spoke on how to become a successful researcher. The event was organized in hybrid mode. Around 100 participants attended the event.
