Protest held in Mangaluru against Lakhimpur Kheri incident
Mangaluru, Oct 04, 2021: Like-minded organizations staged a protest on Monday against the Lakhimpur Kheri violence that lead to the death of nine including four farmers.
The protest was held at Clock Tower Circle.
Addressing the protestors CITU district general secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal strongly condemned the incident.
“The farmers’ protest is one of the longest one after the freedom movement. Those who make fun of this protest and oppose it and spread rumors are anti-nationals,” CITU district general secretary Sunil Kumar Bajal said.
Farmers leader Ravikiran Punacha spoke on the occasion.
Leaders Krishnappa Salyan, Oswald Prakash Fernandes, Renny D’Souza, DYFI leaders Santhosh Bajal and others spoke on the occasion.
Farmers leaders Ramanna Vittla, Vasudeva Uchil, Shekhar Kuttar, Shahul Hameed, Shabeer Ahmed, JDS leaders Sumathi S Hegde, Altaf Tumbe, CITU leaders Yogish Jappinamogaru, DYFI leaders Naveen Konchadi, Jagadeesh Bajal, Nithin Bangera, Nithin Kuttar, Progressive thinker Pramila Devadiga and others were present.
