District administration restricts entry to three temples in Dakshina Kannada
Mangaluru, Aug 04, 2021: To ensure religious places do not becoming the Centre for Covid spread, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner has imposed restrictions on the entry to Kukke, Dharmasthala, and Kateel temples for ten days.
The number of devotees especially those coming from other districts to these three famous temples has increased after the Unlock procedure initiated by the state government.
To ensure these religious places do not turn out to be the place for Covid spread, the DC has issued an order today.
The order for ten days states:
Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swamy Temple, Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple, and Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple will be open only from 7 am to 7 pm from August 5 to 15. Only Darshan is allowed. Sevas, Tirtha Prasadam, and Annasantarpane will not be allowed.
All devotees visiting should follow Covid appropriate behavior.
The entry of devotees during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is completely prohibited. Also residing at lodging and Darshan will not be allowed.
No Utsav, Seva, Tirtha, Prasada, Mudi Seve, lodging on Saturday and Sunday. Only traditional Pooja by the archaks will be allowed.
Except for weekends on other days those who want to stay at the lodging or guest houses should submit an RT-PCR negative report not older than 72 hours. No additional persons will be allowed in the room.
All rooms should be compulsorily sanitized. Mask is mandatory.
