MCC plans Bus bay near Jyothi Talkies
Mangaluru, July 01, 2021: To ease the traffic congestion at Dr. B R Ambedkar Circle, Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) plans to construct a bus bay near Jyothi talkies.
Mangaluru City South MLA Vedavyas Kamath and Mangaluru City Mayor Premanand Shetty conducted a joint spot inspection today.
“We plan to construct a bus bay on Dr. B R Ambedkar Circle- Bunts Hostel Circle road. This will help ease the traffic congestion on the road. There is regular traffic jam as the bus moving from State Bank-Hampankatta towards Bunts Hostel halt on the road. The problem will be solved once the bus bay is constructed,” he said.
Premanand Shetty said that a place next to Jyothi Talkies has been identified for bus bay.
Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) chairman Ravishankar Mijar, Chief Whip Sudhir Shetty Kannur, MCC nominated corporator Bhaskarchandra Shetty, BJP leaders Vasanth J Poojary, MCC officials, and Smart City project officials were present.
