Kaiga donates medical equipment to Uttara Kannada
Karwar, June 29, 2021: Kaiga Atomic Power Station has joined hands with the Uttara Kannada district administration in the fight against Covid.
As part of the CSR activity, Kaiga Site Director Rajendra Kumar Gupta handed over Oxygen Concentrators and oxygen Flow Meters to Zilla Panchayat CEO Priyanga M on Wednesday.
“Every year various developmental works are undertaken under CSR activity. In 2020-21 ₹13.5 crore was utilized by Kaiga. This donation is to help the district administration in tackling the second wave,” Site Director Rajendra Kumar Gupta said.
Kaiga has handed over 10 Oxygen Concentrators and 50 oxygen flow meters. The total cost of these machines is ₹15 lakh.
ZP CEO Priyanga M thanked Kaiga for the donation.
“These machines will be handed over to the DHO. They will be later allocated to the hospitals. These machines will be of great help in the health sector,” she said.
DHO Dr. Sharad Nayak, Kaiga CSR Fund section chairman Shivarama Krishna, HR chief Ashok Shinde, Kaiga Employees Union member Shrinivas Kinnarkar, Kaiga CSR Fund section member Jagan and others were present.
