Leprosy Cases Detection Campaign in Uttara Kannada from Sept 5
Karwar, Aug, 26, 2022: A Leprosy Cases Detection Campaign (LCDC) under the National Leprosy Eradication Program will be held across Uttara Kannada district from September 5 to 21.
Uttara Kannada Zilla Panchayat CEO Priyanga M released posters, banners, and pamphlets related to the campaign today.
As part of this campaign, ASHA workers and male volunteers will visit houses across the district and conduct skin check-ups. After the completion of the screening drive, camps will be organized at Primary Health Centres and Taluk Hospitals for those with suspected leprosy symptoms. Confirmed patients will be provided MDT medicine.
