All services at Kasturba Hospital to resume from June 21

Manipal June 18, 2021: All services at Kasturba Hospital Manipal will be open to the public from June 21.

“All services including outpatient services, inpatient services, Non-OPD specialty services, and health check-up package will be open to the public with effect from Monday,” Kasturba Hospital Manipal Superintendent Dr. Avinash Shetty said.

All outpatient services will be available full day- from 8 am to 5 pm. All types of surgical facilities will also be available. However, the Covid-19 test (RT-PCR) is mandatory for inpatient admission to surgical services.

“If done in their hometown, it is valid up to 72 hours from the date of the throat swab taken. Otherwise, the mandatory Covid19 test will be performed before inpatient admission to any surgery,” he said.

Those who visit the hospital should go to the temporary screening KIOSK set up outside the hospital and then will be shifted to the respective departments.  Mask is essential for all the patients and the person who accompanies. Only one person is allowed with the patient.
