Udupi opens checkposts at border areas
Udupi, Apri 27, 2021: Udupi district administration has taken up measures to set up check posts at the border areas and important places to prevent unnecessary vehicle movement during a 14-day lockdown.
A meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh to supervise the enforcement of COVID guidelines today.
He directed the officials to set up checkposts at the border and allow those who travel due to medical reasons and who have an appropriate pass. He asked the officials to undertake thermal scanning of them.
The shops enlisted in the order will be allowed to open from 6 am to 10 am. However social distancing should be ensured while purchasing. He asked the officials to cancel the license of those shops which are unnecessarily open after 10 am.
Jagadeesh directed the officials to regularly visit the people at home quarantine. He warned criminal cases against those who violate home isolation and home quarantine.

He asked all the people to wear a mask and ensure social distancing. Fine will be imposed on violators.
