Sri Lankan citizen dies in Udupi
Udupi, Feb 18, 2021: A Sri Lankan citizen residing in Udupi for three months died at the government hospital on Wednesday.
Kabilan (59) of Sri Lanka was into fish export and had come to Udupi last November and was residing at a room in Partha Lodge in Udupi. The room was booked by his friend Harshavardhan of Varamballi (in Udupi district).
On February 16 at 9.23 pm Kabilan called Harshavardhan and complained of a health issue.
Harshavardhan and his friend Sudarshan immediately rushed to the room of Kabilan and took him to a government hospital for treatment.
Kabilan however did not respond to treatment and died on Wednesday at 1.26 am due to a heart attack or some other reason.
Udupi police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) case.
