Degree classes reopening: Deputy Commissioner stresses on precautionary measures
Udupi, Nov 12: Udupi district is all set to start the final year degree classes from Nov 17 by following the guidelines laid by the state government.
Deputy Commissioner G Jagadeesh held a meeting at ZP Hall on Thursday and said that the students can attend the classes by getting a permission letter from their parents. Online classes will be held for those who do not attend college.
DC says-
- All students, lecturers, and college staff should undergo the COVID test three days before the classes start and produce a negative report.
- All classes in the College should be sanitized
- Lecturers should wear a mask, face shield
- No NSS, NCC and cultural program
- Social distance should be maintained in the classroom with limited students
- Banners and boards to create awareness about COVID should be put up on the campus.
- Students should swear to take all the measures to control COVID.
- COVID control task force should be set up in every college. It should hold regular meetings and ensure that the precautionary measures are not neglected.
- The district task force will visit the colleges and check the measures taken. If any failure, action will be initiated against the responsible person.
- In the case of shortage in buses on any route, district administration will provide additional private and government buses.
- DHO asked to provide First Aid Kid to all the colleges.
- Those students who can not come to the college should be provided online classes.
- Students should bring food and water from home and not share them with others.
- If any student is found with symptoms, they should be immediately rushed to the nearby PHC for a test.
ZP CEO Dr. Naveen Bhat, DHO Dr. Sudhir Chandra Sooda, and other officials were present.
