It’s red alert in Coastal Karnataka
Udupi, Oct 14: In its 1 pm bulletin, The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued red alert in Coastal Karnataka.
The IMD has stated that isolated places in Udupi, Uttara Kannada and Dakshina Kannada districts are likely to receive very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall. (Red alert: Above 204 mm rainfall). The alert is from today 1 pm to 8.30 am of October 15.
IMD has issued orange alert for tomorrow.
Fishermen warning:
Squally weather with wind speed reaching 45-55 Kmph is likely to prevail over Karnataka coast.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into sea.
