Mangaluru, Sep 09: Asking people not to panic, Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner Dr. K V Rajendra said that the district has adequate supply of oxygen.
Oxygen has to be provided to those COVID patients whose Oxygen level drops below normal. Hence, the government is taking all measures to ensure that there is enough supply of liquid oxygen to the hospitals.
On Wednesday Dr. Rajendra held a meeting at his office with the suppliers of liquid oxygen.
Dr. Rajendra said that to ensure the production of oxygen is not affected, the Mangaluru Electricity Supply Company (MESCOM) has been asked to provide uninterrupted power supply to the production units.
“The district administration will provide all the support needed to the production and supply to ensure that the private and government hospitals in the district do not face a shortage,” he said.
The DC asked the units to provide oxygen cylinders to the hospitals on priority and later to the industrial purpose.
