Stone pelting at religious places, a ploy to create communal tension: K Ashraf

Mangaluru, Aug 22:Strongly condemning the stone pelting at Masjid-Al-Takwa in Mangaluru, former Mayor and Jilla Muslim Okkkuta president K Ashraf has alleged it to be a ploy to create communal disturbance in the region.

“Dalit and Billava youths are used by communal elements. The youths are instigated to pelt stone at the Muslim religious places to provoke them and create communal tension in the region,” Ashraf alleged.

“Muslims of Dakshina Kannada are well aware of this. Stone pelting at Wakf Bhavan recently was part of this plot. The district administration should find those behind these acts and take a necessary step at the earliest and ensure that these elements do not create communal tension in the region,” he added.
