Accused tested COVID positive; escapes twice, arrested
Karwar, July 01: His escape story is something which sounds like a movie script! But here he is not just running from the police but also COVID.
A person was arrested by the Uttara Kananda police in connection to a bike theft case. He was arrested at Dharwad and brought to the district. As he was tested COVID positive, he was shifted to COVID ward in Karwar.
But as it is said habits die hard and on Monday he allegedly stole two mobiles of the inmates in the COVID ward and escaped. The police who immediately started searching him tracked him near Kaiga and set to the COVID ward again.
He again managed to escape on Tuesday night and the police arrested him again.
