Five discharged from KIMS- Karwar

Karwar: Five COVID-19 patients were discharged after treatment from KIMS- Karwar on Tuesday.
All the patients are from Bhatkal. Of the five two are men, two women and a 17 year old girl.
After testing positive in the second week of May, they were admitted at KIMS. Now after treatment their throat swab was sent for testing. After testing negative they were discharged on Tuesday evening.
The patients walked out with KIMS Karwar director Gajanan Naik, District Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Shivanand Kudtarkar and other medical officials clapping for them. The officials handed over flower bouquet to them.
With this the Uttara Kannada district now has 29 active cases. The total number of positive in the district is 69.
