COVID:-19: Udupi district records 18 new cases

Udupi: Udupi district witnessed a surge with 18 new positive cases on Sunday. The total number of active cases in the district now stands at 67.

Of these, 14 had come from other states. Two patients (P-2040 and P-2041) are the contacts of containment zone and the source of two patients (P-2045 and P-2056) are yet to be identified, according to the mid-day bulletin.

Dakshina Kannada district recorded one positive case. The patient (P-2023), a 42-year-old person is the second contact of P-1233.

In Uttara Kannada, two persons who had come from Maharashtra and were in quarantine tested positive on Sunday.

Though there are rumors about three policemen- two in Udupi district and one in Dakshina Kannada testing positive today, the district administration is yet to confirm the news.
