Officials collecting details from the fishermen
Karwar, April 14: A team headed by Deputy Director of Fisheries visited Goa to study the situation of the fishermen stranded there.

Many fishermen from Uttara Kannada had been to Goa as part of the fishing activities. There were reports that due to Lockdown these fishermen are unable to return and are stranded in Goa.
Recently former Minister and Haliyal MLA Mr. R V Deshpande had written to the Chief Secretary of Karnataka asking to help those fishermen.
Two days ago Uttara Kannada District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar K sent a team of officers headed by Deputy Director of Fisheries to Goa to get a clear picture of the situation by speaking to the fishermen.
