Health problem? District administration to send Doctors to your house
Bhatkal, March 30: When several districts are still confused about the implementation of Lockdown, Uttara Kannada district has come out with various innovative programs to help the people the latest one being the ‘Free Doorstep medical treatment,’ in Bhatkal.
Bhatkal has seven COVID-19 positive cases. As Health emergency has been declared at Bhatkal movement of people has been restricted completely in Bhatkal and nearby Panchayats.
However, the district administration is taking all the steps to provide them to the people here.
One of the major steps is to provide free medical treatment at the doorstep.
Officials have prepared a list of doctors who would be ready to provide treatment at the doorsteps of the people.
“The doctors whom we have identified will be in our office. We have given the list of Doctors and their phone numbers. If anybody has any health issue they can contact us or the doctor directly. The doctor will go in our vehicle to the patient’s house and provide necessary treatment,” Deputy Commissioner Dr. K Harish Kumar told https://thecanarapost.blogspot.com/
“If the doctors feel that the person has to be shifted to the hospital then our ambulance will be alerted which would take him to the hospital,” he added.

However, on some days, there would be two doctors.
People of Bhatkal have expressed their happiness over the system.
