With COVID19 and Cholera cases detected in the state, MCC is stressing on cleanliness in eateries. As a precautionary measure, the Commissioner Ajit Kumar Hegde has instructed the health officials to ensure that the street food shops are shut immediately.
“Officials from revenue and health sections have been asked to form teams and continuously evict street foods in their jurisdiction. Cases would be booked against those who try to stop the officials during operation,” the Commissioner warned.
“Health officials should also visit at least five hotels in their jurisdiction every day and ensure that the cleanliness is maintained. During the next inspection if the hotels and restaurants fail to maintain cleanliness, the officials should impose fine and also take action to cancel the license,” he added.
