Madhva Navami: Special Pooja offered to Sri Madhvacharya at Udupi
Udupi, Feb 10, 2022: Paryaya Peetadhipathi Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Sripadaru offered special Arghya and Pooja to Sri Madhvacharya at Sri Anantheshwara Temple in Udupi on the occasion of Madhva Navami.
Sri Madhvacharya used to teach his disciples and conduct discourses at Sri Anantheshwara Temple. The ‘Peetha,’ where he used to sit here has great importance in Madhva tradition.

It is believed that Sri Madhvacharya is invisible and present at this place even to this day.
Paryaya Peetadhipathi offers prayers to this place every day. On Madhva Jayanthi and Madhva Navami, special pooja is held here.
Madhva Navami is the day when Sri Madhvacharya left for Badarikashram (Badari). It is believed that he is still with Sri Vedavyasa at Badari.
Meanwhile Special Rathotsava was held as part of Sri Madhva Navami at Udupi Sri Krishna Matha on Thursday.
Paryaya Peetadhipathi Sri Vidyasagara Tirtha Sripadaru, Sri Eeshapriya Tirtha Sripadaru of Adamaru Matha and Sri Vidyarajeshwara Tirtha Sripadaru of Palimaru Matha were present.
Later at Rajangana B Na Vijayendra Acharya gave a talk on Acharya Madhva’s contribution for Indian Philosophy.
