SSRVM Mangaluru Marks New Year with Annapoorna Seva

Mangaluru, Jan 02, 2026: SSRVM Mangaluru welcomed New Year 2026 not with celebrations alone, but with an act of care and compassion. Guided by Sri Sri Ravishankar Gurudev’s message of beginning the year through SEVA, the school chose to make service its way of ushering in the new year.
As part of the “Annapoorna Seva” initiative, students and parents came together to contribute rice for old-age homes and orphanages. The drive soon grew beyond rice, with families donating essential items such as soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, clothes, vegetables, fruits, medicines, groceries, and blankets.

On New Year’s Day, students visited Bhagini Samaja Orphanage and Matha Lakshmani Shantidama Old-Age Home in Meramajalu, where they personally distributed the collected items to the residents. The interaction added a personal touch to the effort, turning the visit into a meaningful experience for both the students and the beneficiaries.
The initiative highlighted a simple but powerful message — that starting the year with kindness and sharing can make a real difference. Through Annapoorna Seva, SSRVM Mangaluru reminded everyone that even small acts of service can bring comfort, dignity, and hope to many lives.
