SUIET hosts State-level ‘Inspire 2025’ tech, cultural and sports fest

Mangaluru Nov 26, 2025: Srinivas University Institute of Engineering and Technology (SUIET), Mukka, hosted Inspire 2025, a State-level techno-cultural and sports fest for pre-university students on Saturday, drawing over 1,350 participants from more than 75 PU colleges.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. H. H. Rajeshwari, Deputy Director, Department of Pre-University Education, Dakshina Kannada, who lit the ceremonial lamp. In her address, she said technological advancements were helping solve emerging challenges but stressed the need to address unemployment. Programmes such as Inspire, she said, motivate students to showcase talent and evolve into future technocrats.

Dr. A. Srinivas Rao, Pro-Chancellor, presided over the function. He said the university’s vision of “Young India and Industry Ready” focuses on skill development and personality building alongside academics. Students are being trained in emerging fields including robotics, AI, machine learning, cyber security and aircraft maintenance engineering, he added.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. Satyanarayana Reddy and Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar extended their wishes to the participants. Prof. Rajeshwari was felicitated for her 32-year contribution to the Pre-University Education Department and her elevation as Deputy Director.

The programme began with a welcome by Convenor Prof. Vishwas C. Shetty. Prof. Shrinath Rao K introduced the guests, Ms. Dhanyashri Rao rendered the invocation, Ms. Lavanya D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks, and Prof. Rohan Fernandes compered.
Competitions across technical, cultural and sports categories followed the formal ceremony. Poornaprajna PU College, Udupi, bagged the overall championship, while Chandana PU College, Sirsi, emerged runners-up. Prizes and certificates were awarded at the valedictory held in the evening.
