Heavy Rain Alert: Udupi Declares Holiday for Schools and PU Colleges on Dec 3
Udupi, Dec 2, 2024: In view of the heavy rainfall caused by Cyclone Fengal, the Udupi district administration has declared a holiday for all Ananwadis, Schools and Pre-University (PU) Colleges on December 3, 2024.
The announcement, made by the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi, applies to government, aided, and private primary and high schools, as well as PU colleges across the district.
The decision follows an orange alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), forecasting intense rainfall in the region over the next 24 hours.
Similar measures have also been announced in Dakshina Kannada.
