Srinivas University Hosts RADCON ’24
Mangaluru, Nov 11, 2024: Srinivas University’s Department of Medical Imaging Technology on Saturday hosted RADCON ’24, a state-level conference, at its Mukka campus in Mangaluru, marking World Radiology Day observed on Nov. 8. The event gathered more than 420 delegates, including professionals, faculty, and students from across Karnataka, to discuss advancements in medical imaging.
The conference was inaugurated by Srinivas University Vice Chancellor Dr. K. Sathyanarayana Reddy, joined by Registrar Dr. Anil Kumar and SIAHS Dean Prof. Pavana Krishnamoorthy. Chief Guest Shashi Kumar Shetty, Coordinator of Medical Imaging Technology at K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, addressed attendees on the latest trends in radiology.
Sessions covered a range of advanced topics, including CT cerebral angiography, MRI innovations, robotics in radiology, AI-based radiomics, and functional MRI techniques. Speakers included experts from institutions such as K.S. Hegde Medical Academy, Manipal College of Health Professions, KMC Mangalore, A.J. Institute of Medical College, and Yenepoya School of Allied Health Sciences.
RADCON ’24 also featured student competitions, with 15 postgraduate and 9 undergraduate participants presenting research, along with 20 poster submissions. Awards were given for outstanding presentations, judged by invited faculty.
The event highlighted Srinivas University’s commitment to advancing healthcare education and providing a platform for collaboration in the evolving field of medical imaging.
