Manipal: Lions Leadership Conclave -2022 held at MIT
Manipal, Nov 02, 2022: Lions Leadership Conclave -2022 (LLC-2022) was held at MIT, MAHE on Oct 29.
This edition of LLC featured talks by personalities of eminence from Leaders from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) / NGO domain.
President of the function Cdr (Dr.) Anil Rana, Director MIT, Manipal, explained the concept of Leadership by citing anecdotes from his days in defense forces. Dr. Somashekara Bhat, Joint-Director-MIT, Manipal Guest of honor, explained how Dr. TMA Pai had thought and executed CSR activities 60 years ago, which is relevant even today.
Ram Naik K, GM of Canara Bank, explained the contribution of Canara Bank’s CSR activities. Dr. Lopamudra Priyadarshini, Head CSR, Utkal Alumina International Limited, Hindalco Industries Ltd., spoke on the role of Corporates in Building a Sustainable Future. Ketan Deshpande, Ashoka Fellow & Founder Chairman FUEL, gave a talk on the future of the Nation through Skill Development.
Nagesh Tilwani, Managing Director, HYOSUNG T&D India Pvt. Ltd, the former board member of GE T&D India Ltd., explained how CSR is a Win-Win Strategy. “Is CSR a missed opportunity?” was the title of the talk by Ramananda Sengupta, a Veteran Journalist.
Prithvi Tilwani, the President of the Lions Club of Manipal Campus, welcomed the gathering, Dr. Dasharathraj K Shetty, Associate Professor, Department of DSCA the club’s Faculty advisor, proposed the vote of thanks.
